Have a Wonderful Day...

Good Morning Friends...

Did you ever wake up in the morning, thinking that you were going to have a wonderful day, then suddenly something happens and your day is turned completely up-side-down???

Well...that is what happened to me this morning...I won't bore you with the details of "why" my day suddenly turned bad...but I will tell you that I have decided to do my best NOT let it get me down!!

This is my favorite time of year and I want to focus on the good rather than the bad...SO...here I go.

I know that some of you are patiently waiting for me to post this year's pictures of my home all decorated for Christmas...and for those of you who frequent my PT, I apologize for the mess on my site...I am trying to make a few changes, so as soon as I get things figured out and changed the way that I want them to be, I will be reopening albums and adding my Christmas pictures.

I should have things wrapped up in a day or two. :)

Yesterday I finally put up our BIG "family" tree. It is the tree that Santa leaves all of the presents under and it is the tree that everyone loves!! It is filled with blown glass ornaments that I have collected for the past 25 years or so.

It is full of color and sparkle and everyone who sees it, LOVES it!!

When I started to bring out the ornaments, I turned the TV on...much to my surprise...and delight...Little House on the Prairie was on!! It was the episode entitled "BLIZZARD", which is one of my favorite episodes...it is the Christmas one where Miss Beadle lets the children out of school early and they get caught in the snow storm on their way home from school...

...anyways...I thought "HOW FITTING" it was for that show to come on precisely the time I started to decorate my tree, so I snapped a few pics of some of my favorite scenes...here are a few of them now...

This is where Charles and Mr. Edwards are delivering the "genuine foot pedal sewing machine" to Mr. McGinnis...notice Mr. Edwards in the background with that jug of holiday cheer!!!

Here are all of the ladies making the decorations for the church party...this is the scene where Mrs. Olsen asks Carolyn if Charles is delivering the sermon in Revered Alden's absence..."How Quaint"!!

Miss Beadle and the children finishing up their Christmas presents for their parents.

Willie telling Miss Beadle that it wasn't her fault for sending the other children home early. This is one of my favorite scenes because it shows Willie's...goodness!!

This part always brings tears to my eyes...everyone is celebrating the fact that all of the children where found in the blizzard, but Ted McGinnis lost his life while out searching for his son...here his wife Lottie and son Henry are looking on with such sadness...breaks my heart!!

Charles takes notice, pics up his Bible, and begins reading...

I hope you are all having a wonderful day!!
Until next time...Tina

  2. I wish we could have the conveniences of today, with the compassion, respect, responsibility, and accountability of yesteryears. TV show or not, attitudes were so different. But we're all respectfully waiting to see your big sparkly tree and your decorated home!!
