Remember Dolly?

Good Morning Friends...

It looks like it is going to be a glorious day here in Wisconsin...the sun is up and shining brightly, the birds are are just chirping away, and I actually got a few hours of sleep last night, so things are looking pretty good this morning!!! :)

I have lots going on today, so I will make this entry a little short, but I wanted to let you all know that I am having an UP-DATE on my Picture trail on Monday, the 20th at 8:00 PM, CST...so please try to stop by if you can, OK? I will try to post a little seek preview here on my blog on Sunday or Monday morning so you can all get a glimpse of some of the things I will be offering...a little bit of everything in this one!! :)

ALSO:
please take notice of the little caption to the right -----> called  "UP-COMING EVENTS" This is where I will be posting any news or things of interest, so please check there from time-to-time so you can stay on top of things that are happening here at Early America, The 1815 Shoppe!! :)

Also...Remember Dolly???

For those of you who followed my previous blog...do you remember when I posted pictures of that sweet little antique rag doll that I found on Ebay??? I told you then that I didn't quite like the little dress that she was wearing when I got her...it is nice, and is older, but it isn't her original dress, so I told you all that I wanted to find a nice piece of antique calico or homespun to stitch her up a new dress...do you remember??? Well, I think that I have found what I was looking for, and in the next week or two...or at least sometime in the near future, I will try to have her dress finished and post some new pictures of her.

In the meantime...here are two of the pictures that I originally posted so you can all see again just how special this little doll really is.

Here she is...just look at all of those wonderful old repairs!!! I love her to pieces...as did the little girl who originally owned her...she literally loved her to pieces!! :)

Here is the little dress I told you about...it is nice, but just not my cup of tea, if you know what I mean...I will stitch her new dress entirely by hand, with old thread...I will save this dress though, so that someday, her next owner will be able to choose what she wants her to wear.

Well, my Friends, it is time for me to get up and get going...I do have a busy day ahead of me. Thank you so kindly for stopping by, and I hope that you all have a safe and fun-filled weekend!!!

See you soon...Tina
